In French Pantheon, Josephine Baker makes history yet again

France is inducting Missouri-born cabaret dancer Josephine Baker who was also a French World War II spy and civil rights activist into its Pantheon

I like that she refused to perform for the Nazis in occupied France. I remember my father cursing the name of Maurice Chevalier, because he did perform for the Nazis. Dad wasn’t too keen on the French in general either.
