JROTC and Wrestling

I am in MCJROTC at my highschool and would like to hear your views on the program and what it can contribute to my application. I am highly interested in this program and what it has to offer so I'd like to know if I'm putting my interest in the right place.

Along with this, I am on my school's wrestling team as well and I would also like to know if you believe an individual sport such as this can show teamwork and leadership.
(I ask this because it shows teamwork in practice by us encouraging and leading the new wrestlers, however on the mat there is nobody else to help us and it is all self oriented)

I can only opine on wrestling. Absolutely it’s a valuable team sport that will add to your application. Especially if you show leadership, via a captaincy. Search threads and discussions regarding wrestling and it’s value. It’s arguably one of the most (imo) self-sacrificing, dedicated, physically difficult sports, at least a top 5. Those 3 minutes on the mat are brutal hand fighting where one wrong choice can defeat you.

Said the mom of 2 wrestlers, both with Navy Officer on their horizons.
