Hello, class of 2027 prior-service admit here.
I have been looking at the academy and all of the unique and interesting opportunities that will soon be available to me. The judo team stood out to me as that is something I have been wanting to participate in for a long time. I just have a few questions for anyone that might have any information.
Is this team open to anyone, including those who have never participated in judo before?
Would I be able to join this team as a plebe?
Does this team fulfill the physical activity requirement?
If you are on this team, do you enjoy it?

Hey idk anything about the Judo team but I’m prior service too. I was wondering how long it took you to hear back from USMA and what the process was like, finished my application in December, still waiting on response.

Yes it is open to beginners, yes you can join as a plebe and yes it meets the physical activity requirement. Am not on Judo, am on Taekwondo.
