My name is Conor and I am a junior in high school (as of 2012-2013 school year). My top college choice and the goal of my high school career is to get into the USNA. However, my next top choices are the other service academies. I am always wondering what more I can do to get into the Naval Academy. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hey Conor! Mind giving us some more Academic/EC info? I am sure some other people can help you out way more than me but I can do my part!:)

Welcome to the forums. The standard response to the "what do I need to do?" question is:

1. Get good grades in the toughest classes you can take.
2. Be involved in the community through volunteering. Concentrate on what YOU want to do instead of what might look good on an application. Try to acheive leadership positions in these activities.
3. Participate in sports if you can. Try to become a captain at any level you participate in.
4. Be a part of your school's activities in a manner which feels right to YOU. Again, concentrate on what YOU want to do instead of what might look good on an application.
5. Stay physically fit.
6. Contact your BGO now. You have many things you can do as a junior that will help your application. Your BGO will know best on how to help you acheive your dream.
7. Take the ACT/SAT tests as often as you can to attain the highest scores possible.

Best wishes. :thumb:
