I just recently got diagnosed with Factor V r2, and for someone who has wanted to serve in the military since I was very little, I don't know what to do. does anybody know if I will be refused when joining the military?

I think you should reach out to Mr. Mullen. There is a DODMERB topic dedicated for this type of questions. Good luck!

I'm sure there must be a reason you posted this to West Point thread instead of DoDMERB, but I'm at a loss for why???

Send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; paste your posting to your email :wiggle:

I am not qualified to give an answer to your question. I am qualified to tell you to see a hematologist.

My daughter has a son and persevered. Dont Give Up!! I think there are wavier out there for your conditions. MullenLE is a waste of time. Emailing him would be a mistake. He is full of negativity, bad answers, and easy-outs. Go Army! BEAT Factor V r2 (and MullenLE)!!!
Enjoy your short time o
My goodness.
Hoping a mod shows up soon or his mom/dad comes down to the basement to see if he/she needs some hot milk before bed.

Try asking this in the DoDMERB forum.
@MullenLE will likely respond as our resident expert by offering to communicate offline with you.
