I was working and saw the email when I checked my phone and instantly got goosebumps. I’ve got quite a bit of my application done but still have things to work on. My medical exams are next week so I’m hoping all goes well so I can continue the process. Thank you all for the help through this website! Go Army!

Great news!

For the general readership, this is the Letter of Assurance (LOA), the one where it “assures” you of an offer of appointment if you successfully complete specified conditions, such as getting a nom, etc.?

Some will receive a Letter of Encouragement (LOE), which does not ensure an offer, but essentially says they like what they see so far and they hope you complete your application. These questions come up every year, and it’s always helpful when early recipients can describe the general nature.

Great explanation! I probably should’ve offered one of my own in my post but I was riding the excitement of receiving it. Thank you!

Just curious - do you mind sharing which portions of your application are done? Interested to understand what they are considering before that LOA is offered. And Congratulations!
I’d say a large reason as to why I got it is my strong info entered for SLE. I have a 33 ACT 4.0 UW GPA. Good to great extracurriculars with lots of leadership. I just need to do my CAR, essays, CFA, and I’m waiting on two SOEs. Everything else is done. My med exams are next week as I said in my original post and my field force officer told me we’d do my official interview between September and November most likely. I hope this helps!

Did you do your CFA? Also Congrats!!!!
Not yet. Planning on it for mid to late August or in September. Working on basketball throw and shuttle run since I’m a distance runner and don’t have the arm and my explosiveness needed some work. And thank you!

Cross country, track, band, robotics, class president, NHS, multiple clubs with officer status, and some volunteer and tutoring. I also work about 20 hours a week. I basically have a leadership position or role in almost everything I’ve done and I have some academic awards along with some awards through extracurriculars. I have one national level award but I’m not going to specify on here.

Congratulations!

There’s more info behind all of this but this is the basic summary of me and I’ve been passionate about all of these things. I have a feeling it will shine in my interviews and through my application.

Congratulations! I wonder if this is one of the earliest ever LOAs, as I think the portal rarely opens up in June, and regardless, to hear something within weeks after starting your app is very impressive indeed. Would love to hear from anyone else who has gotten an LOA or even an LOE for applicants to the Class of 2025...

@bluejayburrito I think that you might be mistaken in regards to receiving a LOA. An interview is required to receive a letter of assurance, and currently there are no letters of assurance that have been sent out. Letters of Assurance are also not sent via email and are sent via physical mail to your address listed in your candidate file. I just wanted to clarify for you and anyone else reading so that there is no misunderstanding.

I recieved an email titled “Letter of Assurance” but upon further reading it stated that I am competitive and need to complete more of the application before I would be put in the LOA pool. Email came for me the same day of the OP post, but it could have been coincidence.

My DS received same email as above.

Could I ask what your stats are? Like ACT/SAT and basic Leadership? No worries if you do not feel like sharing
