Can you tell me what this means, and how to interpret it?

"You will be receiving an Offer of Appointment to the United States Air Force Academy, see excerpt from their email below:

The above mentioned constituent is being sent an Offer of Appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. This Offer of Appointment supersedes any previous correspondence received by the constituent. The official notification letter will be mailed on 10 February 2009. The specific nomination source to which this appointment will be charged will be determined after the Class of 2013 arrives at the USAFA. Please note, we are notifying all members of Congress who have nominated the appointee.

Congratulations! Make sure that you have completed everything in the application process with USAF Academy."

edit: I would misspell receive out of my excitement.

.......uh, it means your Appointment is on the way! :thumb: congrats!

Congratulations! It sounds like you have an appointment to the Air Force Academy! From what I read, the academy notified your MOC that they had appointed you, and your congressman sent you the letter to tell you. From reading previous posts, it sounds like the academy tells nominating sources about appointments before they actually tell the appointee, in case they want to tell the candidate themselves. Again, congrats!

...yea this letter is really vague lol

congrats, see you soon

It means you are in.

It is not uncommon for an MOC to notify before the AFA does.

Congrats on your appointment. I was told at a reception from the MOC that they are notified BEFORE the candidate, and that the office would notify us as soon as they are informed re: an appointment.

Congratulations! Sounds like you have a great future ahead of you, should you choose to accept it!
