Good afternoon. I completed my application to USAFA and other Academies back in November, and was wondering if y'all would share tips for keeping calm/busy during COVID while we wait to hear back. If it was a traditional year, I know I'd be too busy with sports, schools and EC's but I don't have any of those because of COVID. Thanks!!

Have you heard of Netflix, Instagram, Snapchat? 😉. Jokes apart.. learn something new ( does not matter what) so that you can learn to get out of your comfort zone.

just my 1c..

Could always try archery. You don't need any one else to do it and archery ranges normally don't have people. ( It's quite fun as I own my own bow) This or shooting same concept but with guns and you need someone to actually teach you and people might be there. Or learn a new language hear that's fun

Work out and exercise. Not only will it help with stress, but if you get into an Academy you will have to be physically prepared for BCT. It's a win-win!
I already do that daily but I still have all day to stress!!

I've seen just about everything worth watching on Netflix, Disney, Hulu and HBO lol!! I've been trying my hand at rowing and a language as FlyFalcon suggested!!

Totally second this. I've also been just waiting and reading has been great. I just finished Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne today; a fascinating book around the history of the Comanche tribe and the Texas frontier. Also been getting a few more days snowboarding this winter.

1. Locked on plan B. Send non refundable security deposit to early action college. Peace of mind.
2. Lift, track, surf and repeat.
3. Crochet snow caps (USNA navy blue & gold; plan B college colors).
4. HULU movies.
5. Plan for revenge travel (after COVID or I-Day or plan B college).

I think that is a perfect plan for both distraction and preparation. great idea!

try to pick an instrument to play, it will help manage stress and in Sophmore year and up you can have it on campus and you can use it in your free time.

Most schools do not have EA, not all applicants apply EA, and many that do get TWE'd or deferred.
Concur. Some schools are Early Action - Non-binding; others Binding. We sent the non refundable deposit already and getting ready to buy airline tickets for the Northeast US Mainland.

There is no such thing as a "binding" Early Action school in the United States to my knowledge.

Did you mean to say binding for Early Decision?
