I completely understand what you're going through. I would obsess over these forums and check my portal several times a day. To help subside that, I found additional hobbies. Obviously, that's easier said than done but I can at least give you a few suggestions.
What I've found interesting is long-term investing. There's plenty of information out there to get started and if you're 18, you can easily open an account through a credible company like Vanguard. If you have a job, a Roth IRA would be a good start. Just remember you have until April 15 to contribute to it from your income in 2020. What I've learned is that it's never too early to start investing.
Reading has done wonders for passing the time. Especially books about leadership or something you're interested in. I recently read Norman Schwarzkopf's autobiography,
It Doesn't Take a Hero. It was a fantastic book and it's a great book to start with. You'll be going to a school that teaches you how to be an effective military leader. Why not get a head start? Like President Truman said, "Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.”
Weightlifting. You probably saw this one coming. Nothing better than pushing yourself to get one more rep or smashing a new PR. You'll also get more in shape for BCT.
But most of all, spend quality time with your family and friends. If you get accepted, you'll be leaving in four short months! Why not make the most of it?
I hope this helps
