Kid wants to delay his DoDMERB as he just got three stiches.. finger and helmet connection during high school football. Does it really matter? Any reason to delay>
Either way, it will need to be addressed, either via the initial questionnaire, or as a ‘change/upgrade of any status since filling out initial questionnaire’, so I don’t see any reason to delay the exam. In fact, I would recommend the opposite…getting it done ASAP, to allow for time to deal with any AMI’s that may come up.
I'm not a DODMERB official...however, using a little "scary common sense..." here...there's a cut...it needed to be sutured...no broken bones, no metal plates, no screws...
DODMERB results wouldn’t be impacted negatively by this in my humble opinion. As long as you can fog a mirror and have no underlying issues you will be fine.
