I am currently an AS250 in AFROTC and I recently heard a story of a cadet who was disqualified and removed from the program after discovering a kidney stone during his flight physical. For DoDMERB, is this disqualifying? I had one kidney stone several years ago and I went to a doctor. The doctor told me it was a small stone and recommended I take some tylenol and he sent me home. A few days later I passed a tiny stone myself and that was the end of it.
After hearing this story of a cadet getting removed due to one, I am very afraid now. Are kidney stones really that big of a deal and are waivers common for it?
