KP Rugby train continues on

After starting the season with a hard fought loss in a non conference match at West Point, the KP ruggers have taken off since. Their conference has been dominated by two schools in the past 3-4 years, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and William Patterson Univ. Both squads have come out on top over KP in the past. WPU has been undefeated for 3 years in conference play. That is, until this year. KP put the smack down on Monroe college, a talented but young team, 50-18; they then traveled to RPI which has been consistently a rough venue for KP, and in a close hard fought match came out ahead 37-34; and, this past weekend, KP took down the reigning conference champions and previous multi year undefeated squad from WPU, at a home match on Upper Roosevelt field, 50-5.

Here is looking forward to the KP rugby train to continue chugging along!

And, finally, since the season started with the hard fought match at West Point, kudos have to be given to the WP squad, as that loss probably taught the KP squad more than any other loss could have, and showed them the areas of improvement that were needed.
