Are there any L.E.A.D. applicants still playing the waiting game? I know I am.
 
So while we are all playing the waiting game, what is everyone's job in the Air Force? I keep reading this forum and see enlisted personnel making it into the USAFA or the prep and I'm curious as to what the background is for some of the Airmen. I'm an aircraft maintainer for the C-17.

I'm a SrA at Ellsworth AFB, SD. I work in Civil Engineering doing maintenance. Good luck with your application, I really hope we hear soon! I have never such a hard time waiting for something!

Still waiting as well! Amn (A1C in... 7 days now) at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. I work in the Command Post (This... is... the.. giant... voice...) and I mainly coordinate between C-130s, KC-10s, the occasional fighter and their pilots and TACC/other agencies on base. And run a lot of high winds checklists. :blowup:I hope we all hear an answer, one way or another, soon!
 
So your part of the group of people that like to wake me up on Friday afternoons with the giant voice system when I'm taking my afternoon nap. Got it. Hahaha just messing with you. That is really great that your pursuing the USAFA so early in your career! And being stationed out there in the Azores? Kinda jealous of you. Hopefully the USAFA gives us some news soon so we can plan our leave and moving stuff!
 
Apparently my son got a call from his commander last Monday while in tech school, he graduated Thursday from Goodfellow AFB and flew home Friday night. I guess he thought it would be funny to not tell us until today. While at dinner he said "by the way I got an appointment". HAHA real funny.....
 
Question for you guys. What happen next when we accepted our offer? Do we just wait until order are generate and e-mail to us? Anything I have to do in order for that to happen? The only thing I got on my portal is Authorization to travel.
 
Orders will arrive after much waiting... Typical AF advice, check on it after about 2 weeks and if it's 30 days out, check more often.
 
The only thing we can do is wait and see what the outcome is. The wait is excruciating for everyone involved. For the enlisted personal who have been in for a few years, this should be no surprise. We have been playing the waiting game for awhile now and know there is absolutely nothing we can do until the information comes out. Just keep waiting my friend, I'm right there beside you.
 
Any idea when some of us might hear on our acceptance or rejection for the Airman candidates applying to USAFA?
