Laptops

They can if they want to. If they want to they can do what is called a Health and Wellness inspection in which they inspect your entire room for things you aren't supposed to have from pornography to music files. They are also allowed to open your computer and see if there is anything that is obviously not supposed to be there. My advice is to not download anything and listen to media if you so desperately need it, online where the upperclass can't check.

hello.............................all
Laptop (also known as a notebook) is a personal computer designed for mobile use small enough to sit on one's lap.[1] A laptop includes most of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device speakers, as well as a battery, into a single small and light unit. The rechargeable battery required is charged from an AC/DC adapter and typically stores enough energy to run the laptop for two to three hours in its initial state, depending on the configuration and power management of the computer..............................

I believe we have a bot.

Not for Plebe Summer.

It may be company specific, but for most it is allowed after the start of the Academic year. We brought our Mid's up at PPW. Left it with his sponsor family until he could bring it into Bancroft. He found it useful for studying at his sponsors house and when on movement orders. (away from the Yard for sports events)

Big thing to keep in mind - you cannot connect your personal computer (i.e. not purchased for you via USNA) to the network. It is a DOD network and they control all equipment connected.
Do they filter by MAC addresses?
