Hey all,

I am currently an applicant for the class of 2027 and have been awarded an AOG Sponsored Prep Scholarship that I plan to pursue at GMC next year. However, I have not yet received a TWE in my portal.

When is the last day I can be notified of admission/rejection.

Thank you all so much.

If you have not received a letter on your portal (Check your portal), then reach out to your USMA-based Regional Admissions Officer.
Tell him or her that you have a great plan with the AoG Scholarship but were wondering if you were still in the running.

In truth, every once in a while someone gets in the day before R-Day...but do not hold your breath, please. However, it does not hurt for you to check with your admissions officer now...because you all are going to be working together again next year.

Best wishes...

Congrats on the AOG Sponsored Scholarship. My son just left GMC this morning after spending the past 9 months there. This program was the best thing that has ever happened to him! He will report for R Day in a month. You will not be disappointed with GMC! Good luck to you.

Would you mind if I messaged you directly with some q's about GMC? My DS will be a sponsored prep this year.

Thank you all for your input!

I have one more question: What exactly am I waiting for, in terms of admission/rejection? I understand that I was likely beat out on my congressional nomination slate, however, is there another reason that I have not yet been given a TWE?

Thank you. This is great to hear.

You have not received TWE yet because a final determination on your status has not be made by Admissions. Until you receive either TWE or BFE, you are still a candidate who can receive an appointment to the incoming class.

I just read on this forum that someone was just offered a spot for class of 2027. So there is still hope.

DS is also an AOG sponsored prep scholarship recipient and have not been rejected by USMA. He checks his portal everyday and it only shows that he has accepted the prep scholarship. He has reached out to his RO but has yet to receive a response. If there is indeed a chance for him at the last minute, I wonder how he will manage to find time to purchase all the necessary items for Beast?

They can show up naked for beast and be fine. Well running shoes shorts and a T shirt. They don’t need all the stuff. They are issued a ton of stuff.

Thank you! I'm now hoping that the admissions office is still evaluating DS's application and is simply waiting to review his final semester transcript. DS will be completing his finals this coming Tuesday, but it will take approximately 10 more days until the report cards become available.

Your kid should let his Regional admissions Officer know that along with what he is taking and which grades he thinks he will earn.
