Today we lost our elimination playoff game, effictively making it the last game I ever play in high school and most likely forever in a league.

I cried for the first time in months....I am going to miss hockey :frown:

Hockey doesn't end with high school. It doesn't even end with college.

I'm on the hockey team for my work. Many places you live you will be able to find men's league, pick up leagues, and even some service teams.

my daughter had her "senior night" basket ball game..... she was sad..... as she reflected... then at the end of the game her team WON and are now going to districts! (first time that had beat the other school in 22 yrs)...

kind of a roller coaster ride... just like all this academy stuff :)

holy crap julie thats exactly like my school

on senior night we won against burlington for the first time in like 5 year and made districts
it was so cool are leading senior made the game winning shot like 8 seconds left and then they missed and we won,

sorry for that tangent

I played, what I thought to be at the time, my last roller game this past december, mine was a different outcome, we won the championship. Well I found out last week USMA has a roller club team. If I dont get accepted to USMA, Drexel, my backup plan, also has 4 club teams.

On Thursday nights we play pick up games with a bunch of guys, most of them in thier early 30's late 20's.

Well our girls team beat Eatonville... I was out of town, but I was getting text messages the last quarter from my hubby. There is now a home game Friday night for District playoffs! :)

In the DC are there are a few "work related" hockey teams....

Coast Guard Headquarters
Secret Service
FBI
Military District Washington
DC Police
Maryland LE (out of Baltimore)
DC Fire

Each year the Coast Guard has the "Commandant's Cup" in Bourne, MA, where CG teams from all over the country come together to play games for two days. You get a minimum of 5 games that way I believe. Boy, do your legs hurt after those two days though. :thumb:

At my last duty station I found a men's league to play in in Atlantic City, now I play with CGHQ's team, and a closed pick up group.

haha you can always play in the BPHL.

State Championship is coming up for this kid.
