My academics are above the average for Air Force and my extracurriculars are pretty solid(2x section champion, 4x varsity letter tennis, jv basketball, talent show, guitarist played multiple gigs, chemistry internship(3 different projects, one student is chosen to do it from my school)) I need leadership tho, I have tennis captain but would like some more, any ideas for good leadership opportunities going into my senior year?

I don’t know if there’s such a thing as a “last-minute leadership idea.” If anything, that sounds rather disingenuous — chasing points for the sake of chasing points. And academies have a way of sniffing that out.

Figure out what you’re most passionate about. Then go have a true and meaningful impact on it. Rally a team, lead a cause, fix a problem — above all, make an impact. This is not about collecting titles or hours. It’s about making your mark on an organization or the community.

Only you can determine the best leadership opportunity, because you know what you’re most passionate about. Best wishes.

you are a tennis person..... start an organization that teaches tennis to underprivileged kids. Get your buddies on the tennis team to help you out as coaches. Get used tennis equipment from your tennis club etc so you can give it to the kids for free and keeps. You love tennis so give back by helping a new generation that might not have even been exposed to it a chance to love the game too. Even better, challenge the other HS teams in the area to do the same thing and have a small mini tournament for the kids to play against each other after 10 lessons. Be creative.... use your skills to give back.

How about run for senior class president in the autumn? Do something with it though if you win.... don't just fill a slot.

You don't have to be "in charge" to exhibit leadership. You just have to show that you can influence others to work toward change or direction. Some of the best leaders I have ever encountered never received credit at the time but made the most impact while in the background. Their contributions weren't realized until later.

This is a great idea and one of the best things you could do to show leadership. I too am an avid tennis player (10s = tennis in my name) and ran something like this for a project in behavioral science at USAFA. The kids loved it and I had a blast sharing my love of the sport. See if you can get your hands on some low pressure/foam balls and you'll amp up the fun level significantly since you can get most kids successfully hitting those in just a couple lessons.
