Hi, I’m new here. I’ll start off saying that I have no family history connected to United States military. In fact, I’m a first generation American. I went through my first two years of high school not knowing what I wanted to do with my life, except that I wanted something different. I heard talk about the SA and the SMC around the country.
I was just wondering if it’s too late to be a competitive applicant.
I have a 3.2 unweighted GPA and a 4.5 weighted GPA. I’m working towards an eagle rank for the BSA and am awaiting a nomination to go to TX Boy’s State. I’m also involved in various martial arts in addition to varsity wrestling at my school. By next year, I will also be EMT certified through a selective course at my school. My class rank is top 30%. I’m in all AP/Pre-Ap and dual credit courses
I’ve always wanted to be a pilot in the Navy or Marines and get a MBA to become an entrepreneur eventually (I know they are totally different), but they’re both my dreams.
Any thoughts? Feedback ASAP would be greatly appreciated. Don’t hold back.
