Lead program appointments

Y'all are still in the game. Keep your heads up. The Academy is probably waiting for some kids to decline their appointment. Best of luck.
 
I take it that everyone who hasn't heard back is only eligible for direct entry ?
 
I'm guessing I am only eligible for direct? Is age the only factor when it comes to that?
Still waiting, not gonna lie though I'm beginning to start the wheels rolling on my other commissioning plans.
 
A little update for all the Lead applicants.
Just spoke with my counselor a few minutes ago and she said we all will definitely know something by May 1st. She also confirmed that our commanders are notified a few days in advance.
FYI: I'm applying direct due to the age requirement.

Next week is the week!
 
Guys, no use in guessing. I don't qualify only for direct and I'm still waiting. Also, my consular said 15 May yesterday. I'm just trying not to focus on it.

I hope this is the case. I don't want to wait until the 15th to find out. I am also going on leave for almost 3 weeks next month and would hate to find out while I am on leave and basically have almost no time to sort things out.
 
We're all in the same boat! I'm actually in the midst of starting my outprocessing already b/c I still haven't heard anything and my DOS is coming up in a few months, not counting terminal leave. Hopefully next week!

So you are about to get out? If you don't get in will you be doing ROTC?
 
Got accepted into the prep school back in Feb. I'm sorry you guys have to wait so long but I have my fingers crossed for you all. Some direct appointments would be nice to see.
 
So kinda a small update that was given to me by my counselor, although she hasn't been the best counselor to me over the course of my application and I have constantly had to contact other counselors or my ALO to even get some straight answers to questions, so it may not be the best update. I was told me that if I were a civilian that they would tell me to go with my plan B but since I am in the military to look at other commissioning sources. I haven't given up yet considering who the information came from but I wasn't given a straight answer of when I would be told. I don't even care what the answer is anymore but I just want to know so that I can work things out in my life accordingly. I just wish they would tell you where you stood instead of dancing around your questions.

Well that's depressing to hear :/

I talked with my counselor a few days ago and she said if I was a definite "No" I would have been rejected already. So I was feeling pretty optimistic.... Until I read your post lol

Got my letter in my portal today saying that I had been declined to USAFA. Since I wasn't eligible for direct admission it still said I was declined from Prep School. Good luck to you and everyone else.
 
My commander called today and he was told I was not accepted and I should be receiving the portal update tomorrow. Best of luck to the rest of you folks! You're still in the game.
 
So with everyone receiving TWEs these past few days, I don't know why my commander is telling me after he called my regional director that they haven't even began to evaluate the Airman......My squadron commander got me messed up.

Lmao bro that post was really funny for some reason. My squadron commander still hasn't heard anything either. I called my counselor last week and she said we HAD to know before the first of May. So tomorrow is the day... or not... We'll see.
 
Got my TWE today. It sucks I didn't make it but I'm happy I finally got the news. I wish the best for everyone that is still applying and if you have the opportunity to apply again, DO IT! Good luck to all you guys with your future life choices :D.
