LEAD Program C/O 2023 Thread

How did you find out? Are you AD or guard/reserve?

My Shirt told me to be at X building at X time and didn't tell me why.
My commander, and chief, were in a training session and stepped in the hall to tell me.

They said my portal page will update in a few days but had to let me know before hand.

Just hang in there and wait for a response from your commander.

January is the earliest I have seen as well!
I finished my application at the end of January.
The wait till May was awful haha.
It is a very quick turn around for outprocessing but it’s not impossible.

I’m working with some people on PS side to make y’alls in processing is a lot easier than it was for us.

We are smoothing out the process a bit.

To be honest I am suprised I found out when I did, not complaining though; lol.

Now just have to wait till my order drop in a few months

Yes for sure!

When they do drop and issue we ran into last were that we got coded with PPC codes that were in accurate.

You’re AFSC will be 9T000.

There are some additional requirements that AFPC will give you that you don’t have to comply with.

Not sure we figured out why but just a head and up.

First post here.

I was notified by my Commander earlier today that I've been accepted into the prep school. If anyone had questions from a Guard perspective, I can shed some light.

When did you complete the application?

Congratulations! Are you a traditional guardsman? If so, how did your commander notify you if it's not your weekend?

When did you complete the application?

I finished everything up in early December. Up until I heard, I was expecting to be the last to get news.

I work fulltimfuas a technician. In truth, I'm more of a Contractor than a guardsman.

He called all us up for an impromptu meeting and dropped the news there.

You finished your application in December and already got a acceptance letter only like 1 month later? I have never heard of anyone getting so lucky! I wish I hear back soon.

That looks really good, enlisted personnel are hearing back pretty quickly so good luck. If you have any questions, let me know.

I can post details about my package but there are some highlights which probably helped.

- Airman of the Quarter for my Group
- Coined by the Adjunct General of my State
- SABC instructor
- One National award from JROTC
- Global expert on an object

I also had quite a few academy and prep school grads plus one of the Outstanding Airmen coaching me.

Without my leadership, it just wouldn't have happened. I hope I graduate and get to work under my commander again.

Ladies, Gents. I am currently at the Prep School, I applied using the Lead Program last year and I am here just to give you guys some insight. I would not worry too much about standings or stats. Unless you are 22 you are more than likely coming to the Prep. We have had some people with similar test scores and GPA end up at the P. However, you could be the exception. But the way they see it is, if you can prepare for an extra year why not. In addition, Priors are key at the P the more the better. With that in mind, you guys will have no problem meeting the academic standards here! Best Of LUCK!

Hey guys I’m new on here, just finished up my application but I’ll post my stats below

My counselor told me that I couldn’t apply to the prep school even though it was on my form but considered in my essay that I would prefer the prep school and like to do that first if need be

Any prep schoolers care to tell me where I stand?
