LEAD Program C/O 2023 Thread

Does anyone know where we can access our SF86s to bring with? Someone told me prior enlisted wouldn't need them, but its on the "to bring" checklist ...

3 days out from my final day at work and I finally get my assignment notification from AFPC. Anyone else hear anything yet?

I got my initial assignment message, but need to attend a meeting next week to start the 1 week process to get my orders from MPF.. how are you guys doing final out/etc without orders?

How are you guys planning on getting to school? I was wondering if there is a way my coworker could drive me as an alternative duty location. Anyone know if something like that is legal or where I could find out?

I am trying to get back to my home of record before reporting then fly to USAFA from there and I am also going to do most of my out processing while on leave because I rarely used mine over the past 2 years and have 30 days saved up (that's why thursday is my last day at work). If their leadership is up for it they could count it as PTDY otherwise I don't know if that is allowed without the person driving you taking leave.

Who in this thread is going direct? Just wondering who my classmates will be.

I just graduated the prep, I’ll be attending with you.

I highly suggest a good exercise routine and possibly studying some basic chem/calculus if your going direct.

It could be very challenging if your not at least somewhat spun up on these things!

Anyone going to the prep school get PCS orders yet?

Nope, Still waiting.

Me too, I'm still waiting for them to process 3 things on the portal, which I submitted last 26th April. How are your portals looking?

Luckily for us, our leave can be used for next year. For the direct entry guys, some are outprocessing while on leave because of the wait for their orders. Daily, I've been calling MPS to ask about my RIP so that I could start out-processing. It looks like they're still prioritizing the airmen who got direct-entry slots. However, I started out-processing in my squadron, and I am almost done with my checklist, a head start on something is beneficial.

All my stuff was completed on 26 April and was processed pretty quickly.

You have a checklist? I don't have any outprocessing checklist loaded yet.

Does it say that "you are authorized to travel"?
I was referring to the Squadron Outprocessing checklist that we can start on even before we get orders.

Yes, it says that I am authorized to travel and none of my supervisors have told me to start a squadron out processing list. I guess it depends on the unit but everyone has told me to wait for orders.

does anyone know if there's anything we can do to ensure our items get marked "received and processed" by USAFA? I still have 2 items that were submitted 3/25, and have not been looked at yet. But i know they have to be "processed" before our authorization to travel is unlocked.

I called my counselor, and the guy in charge of the portal to ask the same question. They’ve verified that they are behind, and they haven’t printed our records because of the graduation.
Is it your VRED and SGLI? Those are the ones I am waiting on.
