Hello Everyone!!!
I was accepted to the Prep School and am also willing to answer questions you may have.
The main advice I can give you guys is to just play the waiting game.
There are a lot of little things that make this application difficult and waiting can suck.
For now just focus on training for the CFA, taking the SAT/ACT and most importantly doing your job well.
Trust me as long as your on top of your application everything else will fall into place.
Mind sharing your SAT/ACT scores/HS GPA/Leadership/Volunteering/College and any other significant metrics? (Anyone else reading this, please feel free to share too)
Also I was concerned about getting prep schooled, but after reading what some other users had to say, my outlook on it changed quite a bit. If you could share your experience around halfway and after completing prep school that’d be awesome!

Do not be concerned about getting prep schooled! The prep school is great. You will get spun-up on math, chemistry, and english which will make freshman year academics feel much easier. You have the chance to takes classes like Calc I and English 111 on The Hill during your second semester. The prep school also offers physics and if you score well on the final, then you can validate Physics 110.
The prep school is a much tighter community than the Academy. In the past, about 160-180 preppies get appointments. That's 160-180 friends that will be able to support you while you are struggling through freshman year. Chances are that you will share a freshman squadron with one or two of them. Even if you weren't very close at the P, just seeing a familiar face will be comforting.
Trust me, it is not a 'wasted year'. There are plenty of opportunities to take advantage of if you seek them out!
I am planning on applying for the Class 2024. I don't really know where to start. I tried to do the application online but I don't have the SAT portion completed so I didn't finish filling out the application. I just recently took the SAT and still waiting for the score to come out. My supervisor is aware of this. Any suggestion? This thread is for prior enlisted Airman to discuss and answer questions for applying to USAFA's class of 2024.

What does the schedule look like for the prep school? If I get accepted into class of 2024 and go prep I would be in prep school while the class of 2024 is in their freshman year correct? I know there is something I'm missing about this.

Classes in the mornings. Military time, athletics, or homework in the evenings. I'm a few years removed from my time there, so I can't give you an hour by hour schedule.
As for your second question: If you are offered an AF prep appt, then you will reapply for the C/O 2025. The application process is streamlined significantly.
