Not really though. They just reversed the decision today. My commander seems to think I'll get picked up.
 
The only thing I want to read from this thread is that LEAD appointments have started rolling out.
 
I don't know man, I got a call from my NCOIC of a special duty I'm performing saying that he got a call from my flight chief asking how I was performing and then stated my Commander wants to see me no later than 15:00 Wednesday afternoon.

I was told to wear ABUs and no one seems to know what it will be about.

I wasn't going to post this because I don't know what it could be about but I'm crossing fingers it's positive news about the Academy. Since none of my active duty friends have heard anything I'm probably completely off target.

Anyhow, I'll find out tomorrow.

Definitely keep us updated.

I got a call from my NCOIC while I was off doing some work last week. He said he wanted to see me immediately and my mind went straight to the Academy. Turns out it was some random piece of info he needed to update on the recall roster.

You can imagine my disappointment. Anyways, good luck.

Yeah if it turns out he wanted to meet over something small, I'll be embarrassed for even posting anything in the first place. Hahaha..
 
Just want to say, I'm most partial to this thread. Since my DS is also a LEAD candidate, I'm watching this thread very closely.

Plus, I know how much stress he has anyways, being AD, I try not to ask him to many times about news. I'm not trying to pile on. :wink:

So, reading here helps because it keeps me from driving him crazy!

Now, here's to all of you getting in, and hopefully meeting my DS there!:smile:
 
It kinda sucks for us AD guys because we know the news is going to come from our commander, not from a mailbox, not from a phone, and not from the portal.

Also, we probably won't be hearing for at least another two weeks.

I just had a 4 month TDY delayed because we're still waiting on the news....

Thinking positive here. I'm anticipating some posts about LEAD candidates getting offeered a spot, so I subscribed to this thread!! Don't want to miss all the good news.

Oh, and had a dream, last night, that one of you posted you got in. I don't remember who...sorry! I'm going to take it as a good sign though, and not just that I'm consumed with seeing movement here! :smile:
 
A friend of mine who was at the LEAD DVP got a rejection letter today. She is too old for prep also.

Oh boy. As much as I wanted some movement here, THAT isn't the news anyone wanted. Just took my stress level up a notch.
And she was at the LEAD DVP???

I'm so sorry about your friend. :frown:
 
I was on the Lead dvp back in september. Glad I found this forum. I've been waiting for news on if people have been getting notifications. Sad to hear that its not good news yet. This is my last year to apply, and I know the feeling of getting that rejection letter. But bet of luck to everyone.

Wait, she got a rejection letter? Maybe the LEAD boards have already met.

Or maybe she just wasn't competitive enough for her package to get to the board.

Unfortunate news, nonetheless. I'm glad to hear at least some LEAD activity.
