Yes the letter finally came on Saturday. We are so excited, Aaron is taking it all in stride. Now we need a quick reply to all those who say what is that don't you mean Annapolis?? I have been sending them to the web site for more info.

So he got an appt. to USMMA? Is he going to wait to hear from USNA and USCGA? There is plenty of time to wait for all of them before making a final decision. My son is waiting on USNA, USCGA, USAFA, and USMMA plus NROTC. We are in for a LONG winter :)

Congratulations on the acceptance. Even though you may still be waiting for other letters this definitely takes a huge weight off one's shoulders.

As to the reply, well there really is no short answer to give them. You can always go with something like it is a sister school to Annapolis just like West Point, AFA, CGA. Eventually you will get replies about joining the Marines....and you'll eventually just say 'yes' I'm going in the Marines to simply avoid the long discussion once again.

You will be amazed over the next several months the various responses/questions you will get when talking about Kings Point.

Thank you

Thank you for your support as parents we are thrilled. Aaron is taking it all in stride and did not even call his sister or grandparents with the news. He did not even call us when the letter came, figured we would see it when we got home. It will be interesting to hear peoples responses. Now we need to get a flag pole for the front of the house.

Hopefully you're not in a homeowners assoc  But if you do get a flagpole may I suggest one of these two flags for below the American Flag.

USMMA Flag

or even more subtle with more meaning is the USMMA Battle Standard. I unfortunately can't find a link for it right now; however, it is usually advertised by sale in the Kings Pointer magazine which you will start receiving after your son reports.

our son was accepted tp Both

Our son was accepted to USCG and USMMA. He is still glad he chose USMMA and he seems to change before our eyes (all good so far) we are extremely impressed with Kings point. The only thing I wish is they would do is take out some ads so more people knew who they are. We are so thankful. it is a great place!!!!!

Congratulations to your son. He should be extremely proud of himself for this accomplishment. Remember, there are 5 SA's and in total, much less than 10,000 young men and women get appointments.

Congrats to your son, see you at I-Day (I think that is what it is called at USMMA)
