DD received a letter today with the SF 86, R-day parking pass, and other basic info. However, in the letter it states ". . . we have posted a booklet online, available via your candidate portal. . ., entitled 'Information for New Cadets and Parents, Class of 2015'." We checked the portal and nada. Has anyone found this document yet?

Oh, and one other thing. On the Suggested R-day New Cadet Supply List, under Recommended Items, letter z., it states to bring a Copy of your dental and medical X-rays--medical x-rays only if they were needed? I assume the dental x-rays are what we sent in earlier.

Thanks!!

I called the West Point main Admissions Office today to inquire about the document you mentioned (Info For New Cadets and Parents, Class of 2015). After a lengthy hold, the officer told me that the document did not have final approval and was NOT yet on the Portal. It seems that even West Point Admissions can make mistakes.

I also called the Dental clinic Officer In Charge. He said that if you had already sent those X-Rays and your Dental Icon on the portal was green - then you do not need to bring in extra copies. He said he was not aware of any requirement to bring the X-Rays with you unless your appointment came so late that you did not have the time to mail them. Another mistake on the letter.

Thanks BigNick for making the calls and sharing what you learned. This info makes life a little easier.

^^^ Thank you--we got it. Boy, it's a long one!
