Letter of Assurance and Grades?

My DD received a letter of assurance from the naval academy about a month ago. She is in all advanced courses, and her grades to be a bit below what they used to be. Last year, she was in 4 advanced classes, and got all A's. This year, she is in 7 advanced classes and is getting A's, B's. Could this slight drop in grades despite the step up in the rigor of the courses "cancel out" her letter of assurance, even if she gets a nomination? Thanks in advance.

She should be fine with 'A's and 'B's. She is taking a heavier load of advanced classes. And, by the way, it strikes me as if she is doing well. Good luck on the nomination. :thumb:

Don't worry about it. I was in a similar situation last year and went from all A's to A's B's and even C's. As long as you don't fail several classes or fail to graduate (and probably even then) they aren't going to change their mind over grades. Just stay healthy and out of trouble

Congratulations on the LOA for your DD! :thumb:

Keep up the hard work with leadership, fitness, etc. She should be fine.
