I decided on my top school this week and sent in my decision by scanning in the document and sending it over email. I remember that the three options were fax, paper mail, or email. Just to be clear, I only have to do one? I only ask because it's been several days since I sent in my decision, and I haven't received a confirmation or status change... I'm sure this is all normal, but I just want to be sure, as all Scholarship Acceptance Letters must be RECEIVED by the 8th of March. With a total education cost of $63,000/year, it seems like a gamble not to at least double check haha. Thanks for chipping in!

Apologies for not being able to answer your question (other than suggesting you email to inquire - they’re pretty good about responding to questions), but your post has me confused - wouldn’t you be assigned a unit vs you selecting a unit as part of accepting the scholarship...? DS was a recent ISR NROTC recipient and we were told he would be placed into his highest choice unit on his application that had an opening and THEN notified that he was awarded a scholarship to xyz, to which we would then (presumably) accept.

Do not send multiple times. I always recommend scanning and uploading to your application website. Then you can see that the file is received. The scholarship processors are a busy crew and I’m sure you can imagine this time of year all the procrastinators and applicants that can’t follow directions cause them to be a little busy. If you emailed it, I’m sure they’ll get to it. Cadet Command is not going to pull your offer without checking first. And I’m sure your future Battalion will be checking too.

Thank you! That is a great idea that I hadn’t thought of.

In the fall, I put my top three schools in my application. When I was told that I was selected to be a scholarship recipient, I received a packet in the mail. I was instructed to choose between my top three schools and send in my decision.

The process is different for the different branches. You are correct for the NROTC process, but the process for Army and Air Force are a bit different.

I was also confused about this but I checked my application portal today and saw that Cadet Command had uploaded for me to my portal thus confirming their receipt of my acceptance. I would check your portal.

I had the same thing happen. I emailed cadet command using my ROTC application site. They replied saying they haven't received it and to attach it to them. Once I did that, they replied and changed the tab to accepted scholarship. This is at the bottom of the status page in the ROTC application.

Thank you, all. I just checked the portal, and my status was changed to Offer Accepted.
