Letter of Interest Received

Congrats!! It is a positive sign that your application is promising to the admissions board and they want you to make sure and finish all of your application and nominations.

My son also received a LOI today. Does anyone know what time it was posted? His CFA scores also posted today and the only remaining open items he has are his DODMERB exams (which are complete, just waiting to be posted) and a nomination.

75% (missing: school counselor letter/profile, nomination, dodmerb, cfa - just sent another reminder to counselor and cfa happening next week)

I got one last year. I received another one today. Last year and right now I still had to do ALO interview, Nominations, and CFA.

I'm in a similar boat. No LOI last year, but they instead invited me to the Falcon Visitation Experience. Most people who went to FVE got offers of appointment. I wonder how many LOIs they send out per cycle.

I got one too! Is it similar to a LOA?
I also received one, but what I found is that it's not necessarily like an LOA. It's essentially saying you are a competitive applicant. We like what we see, but finish up on the application. An LOA is a conditional appointment where you must meet the conditions outlined in the letter to receive an appointment(your seat is reserved). There have been plenty of people who received LOI's but have been turned down. It's a good sign, but not an indicator of an appointment.

No. Think of the LOI as encouragement, keep going, don't give up, etc. Considering it's the 31st of October, I would hope everything that is under your control is complete by now. Don't wait to complete the CFA. Injuries, illness, weather, lack of facility, lack of proctor, etc, bites people every year. Don't be that person.

The LOA is a "guarantee" IF and only IF the remaining items are accomplished, typically a nomination, but could be anything.

All: did the LOI motivate you to finish up strong?? If yes, then it did its job 💪

Sound like encouragement to finish up. It is NOT an LOA, with conditions that need to be cleared to turn into an appointment.

Keep moving forward. Get your application finished up. And continue to pursue plans B, C, etc.

Good luck to all!!

I also received one yesterday, but are all the recipients so far all re-applicants?
