this is a question about letters of recommendation in general. when i ask for a letter of recommendation, (in this case for the nominations) do i need to have a signed copy for each person im sending the letter to? that seems like a hassle, i would think that copies of an already signed letter would do.

Personally, I think original, signed letters make a better impression. Plus, when my son requested a letter from someone that would be sent to multiple people (congressman, senator, etc.), each individual letter was addressed to a specific person (Dear Senator ___) even though the body of the letter was basically the same. These days with word processing on computers, its no big deal to write the letter, address it to one person and print it, then switch the person its addressed to and reprint another letter. Just my opinion!
