Letters?

Got my letter from DoDMERB today. Nothing form CC here in Louisiana.

Piggybacking on this thread. Should one email the response or certified USPS? Or can/should do both?

DS got his today. Needs it signed, school checked, and delivered back by 3/01/15. Will scan it and email it. I assume we will get a confirmation when we email it. Oops forgot to mention, Illinois.

uwknight -- I'm curious about the date of the letter and the date of the postmark on the envelope. Can you share?

IMHO I believe you should do one or the other -- not both. I have seen postings saying doing both creates double work for the recipients

If it is like last year, why don't you just upload the signed and scanned document (1 page I think) to the web application portal? DD did this last year (no e-mails or regular mail) and it was approved the next day.

That is what we'll and I meant to say as per the instructions: "scan and email to usarmy..........@....." And in regards to the web application portal are you referring to the scholarship application dashboard? Or the email address I just referenced? Second how did you find out it was approved the next day? Thanks.

The date on the envelope is postmarked Feb 4, and it came from Ft. Knox, so we received this on Feb.6. For curious people we are real close to USPS second largest air hub, Rockford Illinois so maybe that is why DS got it so soon. Oh, the letter is dated Fri. Jan. 30, the same date the application portal changed.

The scholarship application dashboard, not the e-mail. It is under the Application portion, on a tab called File Upload. There you can choose your scanned file and it allows you to indicate the file type of "Scholarship Offer Acceptance or Declination".

Forgot your second question : we found out it was approved because there is a column next to each uploaded document that shows it's status. I can't remember what it said when it was first uploaded but the next day it changed to "approved".

I'm curious on the first page of the letter under the section called selection status what did it say for you guys?

Because mine said Medically qualified and pending administrative qualification. I was curious what this means for me?

"Medically Qualified and pending admin approval":

Translation: DoDMERB and APFT. Plus the actual contract of course

Thanks! Did you already get contacted by DODMERB?

I got DoDMERB's letter yesterday, and CC's letter today

Ah okay I still haven't gotten anything from DODMERB. Hope that's not bad.
