Licensing Exams

18 of the 90 Deckies passed that module. There were 10 questions and so those 18 didn't get more than 2 incorrect. I understand that those who failed that module received an email on Wednesday afternoon notifying them they could retake just that module Thursday afternoon and thus could participate in Bell Ringing. If they failed more than that module, they would retake any other module on Friday. Thankful mine passed all modules the first time around and didn't have to deal with the added stress!
To me, since some, like your son, did pass, it sounds to me like many were "riding the pony" and it didn't hit. . . .

I was a deckie who failed the module during the license exam. I Ended up passing the retake on Thursday afternoon and ultimately ringing the bell after. The module many of us failed was not in the Murphy books (our question bank for those who don’t know). It was also unlike any of the practice tests as it was a few steps above what was asked of us during license seminar and our practice modules. Although the questions were doable ; it was unfair because many of the questions there was extremely little tolerance in the answers. Also many of them required abstract thinking that would not really be used for navigation purposes.

Glad you passed on Thursday! Congratulations ⚓
