Hello there! I asked a question here months ago concerning my chances of getting a wavier for an eye injury playing soccer which affected vision on my right eye. On Jan 2nd 2020 I got an email from the admissions office that I got an LOA to Naps and eventhough am really grateful for this offer, I'm still contemplating if my case will be waived because it still says on my portal that I need a medical qualification to finalize my conditional offer. I know the application deadline is fast approaching and the admissions would be quite busy at this point but do you think an LOA to Naps would put me on a safer side of getting a medical waiver?

Thanks!

congrats on the LOA

if you have a DQ you will need a waiver, but the 1/31 deadline doesn't apply to medical. since you have an LOA you will be considered for a waiver but you might not get an answer on that right away.

USNA will only consider waivers for candidates who are likely to receive an appointment, but having an LOA doesn't make it more likely that they will waive whatever the issue is

A6E Dad is correct, but having an LOA means you are being processed for medical waiver consideration
