LOA to USMAPS

I was just told that I have received an LOA for USMAPS! I know that for USMA an LOA is usually given with the condition that you need to get a nomination, however, since you don't need a nom for the prep school, what is there most likely condition in order to receive an acceptance?
 
I think you have gotten a little bit of erroneous info. There is no such thing as an "LOA" for a prep school---you probably have gotten an "offer" to attend USMAPS and it is contingent on you getting a nomination to USMA. By the way, verbal info is worth the air it floats on. What counts is what is written to you. At any rate, let me be the first to offer early congratulations.
 
NOM for USMAPS

I don't think you need a NOM for USMA to get into USMAPS. I didn't have one years ago.
 
My admissions officer called me, and said a formal letter will arrive in a few days. She pronounced it as a "letter of assurance"
