Christmas came early for DS as he received an LOA from USNA on 12/24. (It was such a wonderful surprise- we are all still on cloud 9!!).
His only outstanding item is medical... which is done, and just waiting for USNA to request it. :)

Does anyone know... Will the USNA portal indicate when they request medical for him? There is nothing in his DoDMERB account that indicates that the USNA application has been added yet.

He’s been medically qualified for USMA and USAFA since October and just been patiently waiting for USNA to request his medical.
 
There is no predicting in normal times, and this year, all the usual rhythms are off.

DS will have to continue his “patiently waiting” until, one day, his portal updates. They are in holiday stand down at USNA until after the New Year, with essential people, so work tempo is very slow. He should check his portal in the AM in case of overnight system updates, and at the end of the East Coast work day, and then ignore it.

It’s the usual advice, so often repeated here on SAF: focus on what you can control, finish this year strong, do PT (run, run, run in all weather), tend alternate plans, enjoy family and friends for the likely last 6 months ever at home as a full-time resident.

Note, if already qualified for USMA and USAFA, then I presume DS has already taken the physical. DODMERB /USNA will be in contact if there are issues. What the "portal" reflects is delayed this year.

I was just curious if the USNA portal (even in normal-ish years) would display a “request for medical” notation like we saw on the other SA portals.
It’s really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things as the net result is the same...
Patiently wait.

We *just* found this about four weeks ago when someone else posted a comment about the CIS site and the other “online app site”. We had no idea that there was an additional site/web address for mobile devices.

<<It was a complete game-changer for my mental well-being (yes, yes,.. I know. This isn’t about me...). DS CIS site was devoid of acknowledgments or updates even though his application was complete. So, the visual “check list” on the online app, complete with all the pretty green check marks, made my heart happy. >>

Both systems are in sync and up-to-date now. Only the online app shows the LOA letter.
