Update: My BGO let me know that my new CFA score is qualifying, so now I have all the boxes checked off. Should I assume that the LOA will become a fully qualified offer of appointment? How long does this typically take?
Yes. You may assume just that. Your Candidate Information System will update first. Then, about 7-10 days later, you'll get the BFE (which is really just a formality).
After you accept your Offer (online), you will be asked to submit three (3) new items. They are; The Police Records Check Form, The Body Alteration Form, and the Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
The police record check form is what slows some candidates down. Depending upon your age, there may be different rules where you live. Some agencies won't release data on someone until they attain the age of 18.
Depending upon where you live, you get this information from the State Police, County Sheriff, or local Police Department. In some cases, you can't request this information without showing up in person. You will have to check into it.
Congratulations. This stuff just got real. There are 160 days until I-Day (June 27, 2019).
After you accept, stop by
this thread to post that you did.
