I just received what appears to be an LOA. However, it feels very late + I didn't get a nom to USMMA and that is one of the requirements shown in the letter. Everything else is complete and noms were due on Jan 31st.

Does USMMA have any discretionary noms they can award? It could be you are in the running for one of those.

Good luck!

You should try to reach out to your MOC or SENs about any available nominations they did not give out this year.
Good luck and Congrats!

My daughter just got two nominations this week after reaching out last Friday. She sent one to her district MOC, whom she received a nom to USNA from and an adjacent district MOC. I was surprised how helpful and the supportive the staff was in helping once she explained her situation. Her district MOC gave her a second nomination. I bet if you reach out, they will be willing to help. We didn't really know how to approach so we were just direct in what we needed. PM I will send you the email we sent out.

Don't be surprised if the staffs and even the MOCs are unaware nominations to USMMA can be given to people outside their distracts. I have even met a staffer on an MOC's interview panel who had never heard of KP. Good luck.

If you are unable to get a nomination from one of your state's Congressmen/women - advise KP and you should be able to get a nomination
from the Sec of Transportation.

Before my daughter was able to get a MOC nom, the coach said he would try to get a nomination from the Sec of T.

Maybe make a separate post with what state you are from and ask if anyone knows which reps from that state will consider out of district noms for UsMMA? I feel like a LOA at this point means they want you but realize you are missing a qualification (medical waiver or - in your case - a nomination). Definitely worth trying to get one!
