I know no one knows my chances, but here are some my stats, now that I am a HS junior and am preparing to dive into the SA process. I am a female junior from MA shooting for USNA!

GPA (weighted): 4.3
GPA (unweighted): 4.03
Freshman courses: Honors English, Honors Algebra II, Honors Biology, Honors History, Honors Latin (all As)
Sophomore courses: Honors English, Honors Geometry, Honors Chemistry, AP World History (5 on exam), Honors US History, Honors Latin (all As)
Junior Courses: AP English, AP Chemistry, AP Chem lab, APUSH, Pre-AP Precalculus, Honors Latin, Robotics
SAT: have been practicing every day for 30 min, first practice test 600 Math 650 verbal

Sports: Varsity tennis #1 singles (will be captain senior year), club tennis 12 years, club swimming 12 years, competitive sailing 12 years, powerlifting, Varsity track (8th grade), certified SCUBA diver

CFA: I can do 1 pull-up and I am working on doing more. Since I started lifting and participating in a sports strength program, I am increasing pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups, and functional strength

ECAs: Model UN President, Key Club President, Academic Decathlon President, Production Assistant for two musicals, attended Navy STEM in June

Community Service: ball kid for tennis event for disabled adults, 10+ hours doing art and playing games with elderly, traveled to Boston with my certified therapy dog to go to hospitals (including the VA), swim team youth mentor, Library volunteer, Student Ambassador (tours of school)

I have four Navy family members: 2 ret. SEALs (1 a USNA grad), 1 active duty diver, and 1 ret. petty officer. USNA is my ultimate goal. SAF has provided so much information to me and I am very thankful! :) What can I do to improve?

You're looking very good overall! Besides obviously improving and continuing to retake your SAT and doing well on other standardized tests, I don't really see anything glaring that you are missing! Keep it up and congrats on the success so far :)

#1 improve the pull-ups
#2 Take the SAT and ACT early and often. USNA superscores.
#3 Put together you best package then see wehat happens.

Most importantly enjoy your high school years!!!

None of the stuff before 9th grade counts. Family history doesn't count, unless it's a parent or sibling, and that doesn't count much.

Nail that SAT. The academies like good female candidates. If I were you I'd lighten up the minor activities and get in shape.
1 pull up is better than an arm hang. If you powerlift you need more upper body. Are you a runner? There is a lot of running at USNA.

How do you know you'll be tennis captain next year?

Hi Maplerock,

To answer your question, I am a strong runner. About the tennis captain, I don't know if I will be or not, but it is very likely that I will be captain as a senior, as I have led the team to numerous state level competitions at #1 singles. Also, I went to a small private school where 8th graders could be on varsity teams. I was a member of varsity track, and I was #1 singles on tennis the year we were undefeated and won the league title. Would that count? Thanks so much for your feedback.

You look like a strong candidate. As others recommended, you can improve further by upping your SAT score and CFA score which it appears you're doing. Parts of MA could end up being highly competitive so it's a good idea to make sure your SAT is as high as possible.
