I have a unweighted gpa of 3-3.3 however I have taken 9 AP courses including this year(junior year), this means my weighted GPA is a little over 4.0, however does the Naval Academy factor in the amount of AP courses I have taken? I see all this outstanding GPA's on the forums but they have little AP courses taken. Will I be looked at as "better" or "worse" because of my choice to try to take lots of college level classes?

Depends on the competition. If your competition has a better GPA with comparable classes, it won’t help you. Plus we don’t know you and your competition re: leadership, extracurricular, SATs, CFA, etc.

I wouldn’t assume that the others with higher GPAs didn’t take those courses either. The midshipmen are all smart ... many have taken as many AP classes as they could in high school.

You should work to improve every facet of your application.
