i am strongly considering changing my major from journalism to finance. I am an incoming Freshman so it should be pretty easy, but I am wondering if I should email the ROO about it first?( I am AROTC)
 
You shouldn't have any trouble making the change, but it's always a good idea to speak to cadre first so there are no unknown snags. ROO is a good place to start. Even if not an issue (and it shouldn't be) it always pays to be courteous and keep the cadre informed.
 
Yes, there is no issue with changing your major if you haven't contracted yet. The biggest thing is that you still have to graduate on time.
