Where can I find out the MALO stationed in my region? I live in New york.

Thanks in advance.

PM me your District and I will look it up for you. :thumb:

it should be in your candidate portal, but in NYC, there is a very very long list (if you are from NYC)

I met with my MALO yesterday. He never mentioned an interview. Is a MALO required to interview candidates and when if so?

I don't know, mine interviewed me though. Unde the liaison tab on the application it said they may be in contact for an interview so that leads me to the assumption that they don't have to interview everybody.

DS contacted his state MALO coordinator to find out who his MALO is and to arrange an interview.

His state coordinator called him back and said he already had an interview on file, which surprised my son.

While on the phone with USMA admissions on another topic they confirmed he did have an interview on file from SLS and was set for now. Also that if he needed another one he would be contacted.

So we are a bit confused as he expected to have a formal interview to complete his file like with the BGO and ALO for the other academies.

Maybe USMA is different? Or does the SLS squad leader interview count like an MALO? He did have a fairly lengthy chat before SLS with one of the regional admissions team when they were in town, so we guess that might also be a potential interview source. But just not sure. :)

For now he's just focusing on completing his file. Has it all done but candidate statements. SAT's, "not at risk" CFA & medical are all in, so hopefully he'll be ready for one of the next board reviews.

He probably should start on those candidate statements. If he gets those done early, and if he did really well on everything else, he could possibly get an early LoA, which would relieve him of a lot of stress.
