March 2021 Women’s History Month

Perfect month for a Tucker Carlson moment as respect women in the military. As the proud husband of a retired AF Nurse and the very proud dad of a daughter about to graduate and commission into the Air Force after 4 years of AFROTC (including being cadet leader), I enjoy seeing people like the senior enlisted leader of US Space Command and Sec of Def Austin step up to acknowledge the contributions of women in the military and call out Tucker Carlson for asinine remarks on women in the military.
Tucker mocked women serving in the military, the efforts to retain them, and the supposed feminization of the military - pretty bold words given that he'd have his a** handed to him by female military members - and wouldn't even be able to outrun these women.
The best moment is just after the 20-second mark in the Twitter link:

As for people voicing their free speech rights, I took an oath to defend their rights as a U.S. citizen. Doesn’t mean I can’t 🙄.

Private Cathay Williams, Buffalo Soldier

The US has it's own Joan of Arc.

Sounds like she got shotty treatment form the VA, but at least she didn't end her days like THAT Joan of Arc.

From the Article:

What Makes Cathay Williams An American Hero: Though over 400 women served in the Civil War posing as male soldiers, Williams was the first African American woman to enlist and the only documented woman to serve in the United States Army, while disguised as a man, during the Indian Wars. Williams is also the only known female Buffalo Soldier. Williams' determination to serve her country demonstrates the extraordinary feats women have accomplished simply trying to live their lives.
