March 31st Last Day for USAFA appointments?

My DS portal said exactly the same thing after the syncing was complete.

At this point, is it acceptable to call and ask my admissions advisor if a decision has been made? I've maintained regular correspondence throughout the past 8 months.

I recall someone recently posting that admissions is swamped and it's probably better to wait for a portal update. I'm not sure though. We would all like to know!!

LH, honestly, I know the wait is excruciating, but do you really think they are going to give you an appointment over the phone? My advice is to not call. There are most likely 1 or 200 candidates waiting to hear good news. Can you imagine if they all called admissions? Try to hang in there and keep yourself busy. Go for a run, do some push ups, pull ups....anything to keep your mind off of your portal. Good luck to you.
 
"Appointments are being offered from now to May. Non-select letters go out in April. I have no definite dates when all notifications will be sent."

Directly from an email from my admissions counselor so we'll see what happens. Hope this helps!
 
Sorry for the news, but this is what admissions has posted on home page. Looks like we are just waiting on those to accept/decline appointments for any further appointments to be made.

"Majority" can be perceived in many ways beginning with only 51%. For those still waiting - stay focused and stay positive. It's not over till it's over.
 
My DS got an email to check portal late in the afternoon of Friday April 3rd(last year) with non-select notice, so we are hoping there is an answer by tomorrow. He is in AFROTC has to commit by next Wednesday, as they have moved the commitment date up by a month. He is still CPR at USNA and USAFA. I think he has great options no matter what the outcome, but after prep school and two rounds of applications it will be hard for him not to have the option to make his decision. Good luck to everyone still in the hunt.
 
I would take a break from checking the portal so often. I am pretty sure it only updates once per day at @3am with an email to announce a change. DS is still waiting to hear also, but headed out of town this weekend to keep his mind off things.
