March-how important?

So I was mulling around on Facebook and ended up checking the Coast Guard Admissions group that the admissions officers set up. Lt McMunn posted this a little over a week ago:

The first of five (or six) Regular Admissions review boards has completed...some of the applicants in that group will be notified of their selection status in March, but everyone will be notified by April 15th.

Maybe a few of us will hear something soon!

SO I wonder....

EA (Early Action) vs RA (Regular Admissions) do they look at these differently?? are EA more wanting for the spot, more dedicated? (except in the case of those in college that are not allowed EA).. I am just curious.

Did I miss something? I saw the reference to April 15th being the latest, but what is significant about the 19th of this month?

My husband and I have taken a stab at when we think some sort of news will come....he says March 6th (too soon, I think) and I say March 12th. Wishful thinking, to be sure, but I really do hope HE is right. Or I am, and that we don't have to wait til the bitter end.

Any predictions out there for when YOU (or your son/daughter) will get notification. Let's make this fun...take a guess!

I think she was referring to the date that LtCdr McMunn posted on the facebook group about regular admissions selection boards. I forgot to mention that I'm 12 hours ahead of New London time, and that's why it says Feb. 20th on the quote

As of yesterday, we have offered 249 appointments...47 Accepts and 6 Declines so far.

The first group of CGAS appointments has been approved by CAPT Bibeau, but I don't think they're in the mail yet...maybe next week?

although she did get an admissions pacakge from UCONN
(all of the hubby's family is in New England, so he would love for her to be in New England)
