Hey all, this is not actually Angus but it is his father, he left for plc already and I hope everything is going well but I don’t have the letter format to write to him. It was not in the pdf we got in the email. Can someone please provide me an example of a letter format to write to a candidate in Quantico or perhaps a link? All and any help is appreciated and he plans on sharing his experiences once he finishes his 6 weeks!! Thanks..

Are you looking for an address?
As far as a letter is concerned, when DS was at OCS in Quantico (same course as PLC seniors) I just wrote a letter.... no format. I gave him news from home and tried to add something inspirational that seemed to apply to him. I had to search for a lot of quotable quotes to do that. One might start with quotes from the Marine Museum.

Are you looking for a format to address the letter? As I recall, the first thing they have the candidate do is to send a postcard saying they arrived safely and include a mailing address. The format will be something like this:
Last, First, M., 8525
B Company, 1st Platoon OCS
2189 Elrod Avenue
QUANTICO VA 22134-5033

You are welcome. I am fairly certain you could send a letter with his name, PLC, and the street address as above and it will find its way to him. They sort it all out in the mail room.

When my son was there we wrote about things we would normally talk about. Braves baseball, our dog, etc. He wrote about the SIs and lack of sleep. His letters were used in the series of Washington Post articles written about the OCS experience. He excelled and graduated near the top but told us the letters from home were crucial to survival.
