Has anyone received notice for their Marine Option ROTC application?
Several years ago, my DS (NROTC MO) found out via the portal on Dec 23. His hard copy paperwork was dated Jan 5.
Things may have changed, but it is not out of the norm to find out the first board's results late in December.
Hopefully you have an early Christmas present on the way!
Haven't heard anything yet... hopefully soon
Thank you for the insight, looks like more waiting!
Well, looks like a few weeks gentlemen.
I don't mean to be a downer. You might not hear then either. Could be waiting until April Be prepared... patience. And work your backup plans. There is always the opportunity for an in-school scholarship as a college programmer. Semper Fi!
kinnem, will we be notified if we don't get selected or do they just recycle us to the next board? Or will the send us an email or letter saying something along the lines of "You did not receive a scholarship on this board, you'll be put on the next one?"
Can't say it works this way across the country, but.... my DS received an email from his contact at the recruiting brigade headquarters (where he interviewed) that he had not been awarded a scholarship and would be reboarded. He was also encouraged to update his application with any new awards, SAT scores, etc.
