I know that from the Naval Academy Mids have the choice to go into either the Marines or the Navy, but how is that decision made? What if I'm not sure which one I want to be an officer in? There are definitely pros and cons of both, and I would be honored to serve in either, but is there someone at USNA who can help me make my decision?

At USNA you do not have to select Navy or Marines until early senior year. So you have 3 years of school, training, summer training, and interaction with Navy and Marine Corps officers and senior enlisted to make this decision. There are summer training opportunities such as Leatherneck and follow on training where you can observe a Marine unit for a month that let you really get an understanding of the Marine Corps. Don't worry lots is opportunities to make an informed decision.

No shortage of Marines on the yard to help you. Everyone from ground pounders to Harrier pilots, enlisted and officers that are happy to talk about the Corps if you're interested. Same goes with Navy.

You will also have opportunities in the summer to experience jobs in both Marine Corps and the Navy
