Hello,

I am just wondering if anyone received any interview information/invite for Maryland senators, as well as Congressman Delaney.
I have submitted my applications and pretty much have been stalking my mailbox for sometime . I know Sen. Cardin's deadline hasn't even passed yet, but I guess I am very anxious!
To my understanding, some interviews will be scheduled this month, so around when do you think they will send interview information out?
Thanks!

Hey yrangd, my confirmation of application letter for cong. Delaney was postmarked 26 October. Good luck and maybe see you at the interview!

md403- did you get your information by mail? And when did you receive your interview date?

I got my letter from her office last Thursday for my interview on 11/13 (time is still up in the air).

I had my interview yesterday, 2 person board. I thought the questions were typical.. What will you do if not nominated? Plan B--F(NROTC). What do you plan on doing on AD? My height limits what I can do. Asked them, a few questions, but strangest thing was waiting downstairs. A mother was boasting about her daughters GPA being 3.94 with all AP classes ( Im in full IB with a 3.91 unweighted) stating that her nomination was in the bag. I felt bad for her daughter as she kept telling her mom to stop making a scene. Once upstairs waiting for interview started talking to others waiting trying to break the all the tenseness. By the time some ofthe others were called, we, the ones waiting, wished them good luck going into interview.

Now the wait begins, as we will know mid December. One down two more to go.

If you interviewed with Mikulski check your portal. DS got his notification this morning.

@fnafgg yes we got letter on Friday and noticed the change on the portal last Monday for usafa from Mikulski.you might want to check your online portal.

I have not received any nomination as of yet. Crossing fingers as MOC and Sen. Cardin are this week. Hopefully, I wont get question about what I want to do after USNA ( Im 6'7.25") anything probably in URL. Going on ships/subs will be a killer during GQ- knee knockers anyone. Sadly aviation is out. Marines-no. Being realistic due to my height sucks. My answer might have hurt me but I was being honest. Im not sure if USNA has waivers for being over 6'8"!

@md403 you should be ok. David Robinson was 7 ft tall and he went to USNA. My DS is tall too 6 ft 6 inches and got LOA to USNA. There are so many things you can do. At USAFA you can fly drones instead of planes or even cargo planes just to name a few options.

David R came in at about 6'8" and grew. He had to go CEC, was DQ'ed from most everything else. Civil Engineering. But he wanted to serve.

Dont get me wrong, I turned down a HS internship to NSA, so that I could stay in IB program. My thinkinh is that I would be more competitive for nomination. I do want to serve; however, the interviewers dont really want to hear that Im looking to serve as URL.
