wvrotcmom,

The easiest way to find out will be to contact the ROO at one of his schools. They are able to see some information in their systems and tell if the prospective cadet has been seen by a board. If all of you DS's paperwork was completed and to CC by 12/20/10 he should have been boarded at the January. Also, you didn't specify, but this information only applies to the Army ROTC system, the AF/Navy have different processes.

Thanks for the info..I have contacted hte ROO's at 2 of his schools, but havent heard anything yet...I do know that he was in Jan board..Son is applying for AROTC...thanks for your help

If he was before the Jan., he'll be rolled to March automatically. You might want to join us on the thread March 8 board. Most of us waiting have been before 2 boards already. Good luck.

There are admins per region that preapare packages for the boards. Only way to find out for sure if a cadets package met a board is via the admin at CC. I have found information from ROOs to be very hit and miss. Ask the ROO to give you the contact details for the admin at CC for your son.

They only get reviewed by one board. The application is scored and then they set a cut off line for scholarships. Next board they review and score the new applicants then merge them with the ones from previous boards. Then they set the cut off line again.

Its a rolling process and the cut off line should drop each board after January.

thanks for all the info...I did finally hear from 2 ROO's and heres what they said..one said that CC has cut in half this yr the amount of scholarships they are offering and his file was automatically rolled over to mar board..next says his file is complete and will be considered by the next board,CC has only awarded one third of scholarships in the 2 boards and two thirds are still remaining to be awarded. The mar board opened on the 8th and will close on the 12th with awards being sent out in 30 to 40 days...thats a close time line to submitting deposits to your choice schools.I have contacted his schools and they said that he could file a postponement, until the results are known.
