Good morning,

I received a DoDMERB disqualification for "Current or history of any abnormality of the retina, choroid, or vitreous" some few months ago. This is from an eye injury (Traumatic Macular Hole)I received playing soccer for my varsity team last year. I had a surgery in June and my vision has gotten a lot better even my last visit to the opthamologist, he said the hole is closed. My USAFA portal currently says "Complete but Medically Disqualified." I was denied a waiver twice for USAFA after turning in all my medical reports concerning this injury and am hoping westpoint and USNA doesn't deny me too.
I am obviously a little worried that I have been waiting this long and a lot of people are receiving appointments now. Looking through the forums, I tried to find anyone that had this same issue but I guess this case is rare. Can anyone here please tell me what my chances of getting a wiaver to the other two academies are?

Thank you!

You said your vision is a lot better.

What is your vision now? Corrected and uncorrected?

No one knows your chances. The academies will look at your package and make a decision based on many factors no of which anyone on this board can or knows what they are. Keep pushing forward and have plan B,C,D and E ready.
