Medical DQ Portal Question

This is the second year I have been medically disqualified, for the same reason (knee surgery three years ago). I'm a little confused about how the USNA portal looks.

Currently, I have a big red "disqualified" under my DODMERB status. Would this be pending if USNA were considering a waiver?

Also, the date the USNA portal says it was sent to DODMERB is marked as 8/29/2023. I'm just a little confused with that date, as my most recent medical exam was in December of 2023 (aka 12/12/2023). However, my portal didn't update until mid-January. Does anyone know why the dates are like that? I'm worried that they didn't actually receive my second appointment as my DODMETS portal is "partial closed as of 3/7/2023," but I went and completed both required exams. I have attached a screenshot to this thread. Is this something to be concerned about?

I don’t know much about the dodmerb process, but you can and should just call your admissions officer to get some of your questions answered. Sorry if you already have and this is unhelpful.

When I had a waiver requested for me, my dodmerb was red and it said “pending waiver” so if usna requested a waiver for u, it would probably say that. That’s not me saying you won’t get one, that’s just me saying that’s what happened for me.

Check your DoDMERB portal to see what it indicates.

Call your designated contact at DoDMERB to verify what the portal says. Follow up with an email to that person.

Make sure that there’s no AMI they’re waiting for you to provide.

Check DoDMETS to see if there’s any action there that they’re waiting for you to take. Follow up with an email as well.

Both DoDMERB & DoDMETS are very responsive.

Once you check all of this, reach out to your USNA Admissions Officer via telephone & email.
